Trying to rig a character in Maya and this nonsense happens when I try to create a skeleton.
Thing is due tomorrow and the Maya forums aren't helping and I still have almost a whole 20 second animation to do and asdgdfvfhrdichsdjgbcdnagd

Place "parent" joint, go to place the "child" joint, and the bone that should connect the two joints points off in the complete opposite direction. Have looked on Autodesk forums and Google searches and cannot find anything that has helped solve this problem.
